About Me

My name is Patrick Cassat and I am in the sports media field. I am in the Play-by-Play area and am actively pursuing opportunities. 

 

In 2022-2023 school year I interned with the Grizzly Digital Network and worked for Waco 100 FM as a Play-by-Play broadcaster.  With the Grizzly Digital Network I called College baseball and Softball for Georgia Gwinett College's top 25 programs.

I have called football, basketball, softball and baseball games and am eager to call other sports. In addition to my work calling live sporting events, I appeared on a morning news show called the “Raven Report” to host a weekly Friday recap of sports during the football season. During the report we would show highlights of the prior week’s game.

I am currently a student at the Carmical Sports Media Institute at the University of Georgia. During my time at UGA I have actively been covering live sporting events on Twitter/X and been writing live and post game stories for local sporting events.

In the fall of 2023 I expanded my role as a content creator at picksandpancakes.com, a subset of Distance Media. With this expansion I also took on the role of providing beat coverage of the UGA Soccer team.

​

I have been involved with picksandpancakes.com since November of 2022. Within this role of being a content creator, we have tried to enhance our social footprint while bringing a comedic angle to sports coverage.

In addition to play-by-play work, I have also interned with Little League. In this role I posted and produced content to Social media pages and performed media relations roles for the Senior Softball World Series.
